The whole Stephen Murray thing

(1/4) > >>

muttley:
I can honestly say that i havent really kept up to date with the in's and outs but i caught the thread the other day with the pic of him smiling etc.

Now when it first happened i, and i think a few others, were of the opinion 'why the hell arent GT or his insurance covering this'?

I dont know if GT have stumped up anything but the last couple of months have really opened my eyes up with all the fund raising and even other manufacturers donating to the cause.

All i can say is my view has changed and it just goes to show that perhaps the industry you put your life and soul into can turn its back on you, kind of reminds me of the late 80's when it all went rebel and it was all for one and one for all basically sticking 2 fingers up at the whole machine.

We now have riders looking out for riders and i seriously hope that the big players  ::) in the industry looks at this and takes note.

Get well soon Stephen  ;)

harris:
i couldnt agree more muttley.

Frosty:
Here here, I saw Ryan Nyquist interviewed in a Dew tour program I saw at the weekend and he was talking about what happened, which is still good to hear the riders don't forget!

Zippy:
I said at the time that his bike company should have had him insured and surely it's in their Duty Of Care for them to look after an employee.

I think that Oakley have been supporting him throughout though. But then Oakley were always that kind of company.

MeddlE:
Correct me if I'm wrong but I thought he wasn't actually riding for anyone at the time of the accident?

I don't think that any of the riders who were there on the day are going to forget Stephen anytime soon, that sort of slam sticks in your mind.
