SWG in relation to ALLY tubing
(1/1)
animal:
Can anybody shed any light on what it means i.e. 10swg ? Hows that work when they don't give a thickness of tube? Must be a percentage thing maybe. :-\
customparts:
i think its the thickness of the tube wall

In relation to what the diameter? not sure?
Philbert:
SWG is an old engineering measurement. - standard wire gauge,
but not used for just wire, also for sheet metal and other things
10 swg will be just under 3mm thick, thats the thickness of the wall of the tubing. the tubing diameter will more than likely be in inches
