Dont forget your plastering bath. If you dont want the water to evaporate then cover the bath with a piece of wood to slow the process down and make it last. ;) All the mist and crap at the bottom is the rust that comes off!
kuwahero:
pardon my ignorance but what does oxalic acid do to a chrome frame
I am currently waiting for a KZ1 to arrive so may need to use this stuff too
Once I know what its for/does I can determine what I need too do
Any info greatly received ;D
munners:
If you leave it in the acid bath for 2 days it takes off and helps loosen (ridiculously easy) the rust spots on the chrome. It is especially good for the little tight areas like the gussets and in between the chainstays (BB). It also takes away the dullness in the chrome. Obviously if the rust has eaten through the chrome you are fooked and a rechrome or powder is needed. ;) Try it. It is fantastic! It stinks though. You hands smell like they have been in a bowl of penises!
