cleaning tip needed

when i got my nickel frame it looked terrible but after spending several hours cleaning it up with autosol it looks brand new but after a few weeks or so it started to tarnish what can i polish it up with to keep its shine ? someone said furniture polish would this be any good ?

needs lacquer.. a bodyshop will do it dirt cheap.
or you can diy will a rattle can  :-\
