How to post pictures on the Forum

How do you do it, I want to enter my bike in the Bike of the Year Forum but can't seem to do it.  I write the narrative and then I clip on the Add Image box and get [img] tried dragging jpg into this text book and still doesn't work, what am I doing wrong
