FSA Pig Headset

Hi i have got a standard fsa pig headset with the unsealed bearings and it came with no instructions. I have worked out the right order everything goes but im not sure which way round the bearings should go. I always thought the bearings should go with the open side towards the cups, but the bottom ones seem to fit better going the other way round. oes anyone know for sure which way round they should go?
