------- Cleaning up Grips
kdw712:
looking for some top tips on getting me grips to look minty fresh once again
got a couple of sets of goose grips that have some deep grime and oil in them
given them a good scrubbing in hot water with DAZ
tried one set in the washing machine
all helped but still needs more
as i can't get rid of that stubborn ingrained cack out !
so who's done what and what worked :coolsmiley: :daumenhoch:
Nicfred:
id use either castrol contact cleaner or maxima brake cleaner(MAXIMA SMELLS OF ORANGES mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm nice) there also both good for putting grips on/off(it dries)removing the scum after you take stickers off, before fitting sticker, cleaning rims etc, there great, carefull with the maxima on paint though,it must be a bit stronger than the castrol as i tried it on a painted item and it started to remove it,so id go with the castrol, should be able get it from halfords etc,
ive been using it for about 15 years :daumenhoch:
spray some on a rag and rub,its just like some brake cleaners
motomagII:
use pvc cleaner the liquid not the creamy one cleans em minty fresh and high as kite to boot
