whats wrong with me? has this happend to any one else?

iv been riding bmx since the mid 80's and carried one with bmx through to new school but also have done alot of downhill and bsx etc. iv jst built up a sweet old school for my ride for 08 and i cant do shit on it has this happend to any one else? i can say im pretty ok on a bike etc but getting back on an old school after nearly 20 years i suck  :'( is it just a case of practice? im one of those people who picks things up fairly fast but it aint happening for me on my old school have i spent to long away form this type of bike. im rcaeing at coppul in 2 weeks and i cant have Madd dogg beating me  :-[

has any one got hits and tips on jumping old school

i can still jump almost as high and as far as i used to in '85 Nooooo Problem...

iv tried evrything. i know alot of you guys ride ride new school as well as old school. Im well ok  jumping new school but getting back on me old school i suck big time its not fear or anything like that iv raced so many times on BSX iv been on the same start gate as Dylon Clayton and Ste geal jumping the same as them so height distance etc is not the issue. the problem i have on my old school is that when i take off i seem to be pulling the bike to my right which means my bike go's wonky in the air which forces me to put my left leg out in the air to stable the bike and me landing with my leg out hitting the floor when i land the bike. iv tried going back to basics and starting off small but even on the smallest wimpyest jumps i still get the same result. What can i do to sort myself out?
