STREETBEAT BUILD
Del:
I picked this up yesterday from Weston, I mainly bought it for the tuffs and was going to powdercoat the F&F and bars for some future project.
The paint was rather dull and lifeless but with minimal scratches so after stripping the bike down i promptly spent 3 hours t-cuting and polishing it followed by applying lavender vinyl and making the decals (yes the lavender stripes on the frame are made from vinyl not painted - hence the downtube is not 100% correct to the proper streetbeat paint scheme).
I had a load of Lavender parts I've been saving for a rainy day, so this morning brought them all down from the loft and built this, not bad for an impulse build that I wasnt planning to do. I'm now looking to replace the stem with a Lavender GT Mallet (anyone got one?) and get some different pedals (probably black SX's)
Anyway, enough of me.. here's the pics... hope you enjoy it... By the way does anyone know if they actually did a lavender/grey or white Streetbeat?
Quick breakdown:-
Skyway - Frame, forks, bars, Tuff 2's, tuff pads
Tioga - Seat post, headset, comp ramp tyres
Tange BB, Sugino 1pc, powerdisc, Cam c/wheel, Ame grips, Nippon brakes, Diacompe levers, Viscount Dyna seat.
MartyC:
Generally not a fan of the late 80's colours like Lavender, but that has come out really nice :daumenhoch:.
