Your Option 3 should be ..............

0ff-ers in excess of £?

At least then everyone has a guide  ;)

If you're really not sure about value then ebay it & put link in For Sale .

I dont know what you have sold.......or havn't........

what i do know is that people are getting royally fooked off with people arsing about in for sales threads, and have complained about it. Members have left over it, which to be fair is their problem, but when you maybe desperate to gather funds for your new project and your reluctantly selling stuff, the last thing you need is 8 pages of twaddle, putting off possible buyers.

If it were up to me, i wouldnt even have a for sale section.

pickle:
i'll be honest and say that i hate the whole offers thing, i'd say that 99% of regulars on here know what their stuff is worth (or what they want for it) my view is if you really don't know what something is worth then you do 1 of 2 things........PM a few people and do some research into the current prices, or stick it straight on ebay if you want to get people bidding on the item.

I had some bars i was selling not long ago, i had an idea of there worth but sent a few PM's out and got it confirmed before i stuck them up with a price.

it's amazing that you see things up with offers under them, then after a few people ask for a price you see a reply from the seller saying any offers over £xxx......so they set a kind of reserve.  leave it for ebay not RAD, if you're selling on here then sell at a price and honour your sale, don't tell someone you'll let them have something then go back on it and bay it or sell it to someone else because they've offered you £50 more.

there i feel better now

An instance of "banter" recently though had a member trying to sell a rare coloured headset with replies saying it was too expensive , if it's too expensive then don't buy it , SIMPLE ! . No need to post if you think it's out of your price range , if I'm not really into a bike built by a member I don't post saying that looks sh1t , I just don't post - EASY ! .

If something is truly too expensive then I'm sure the member will work that out when it does'nt sell  ::) .
