dylon is not water it is dye for nylon and it works on nylon products tuffs viscount seats kashis ect , i worked in the petrochemical industry for many moons and nylon is no ordainary plastic

  Like i say put a pen lid in with your next dye, cut in half and it will be the same colour it was in the middle. Honest......
