What pedals for a 'beat?

What pedals should I ideally be looking for for my Streetbeat?  I want something period NOS and cheapish.  Red would be ideal, should I go platform or trap style?

Definately platforms - if you can get them you want Victor VP-500's with the old 4-leaf clover motif  :daumenhoch:
