Kashimax Aero Re-Issue?

I think that's the thing here. Obviously someone like Munners gets his enjoyment for hunting down perfect, era-correct parts and building some very pretty bikes, so for him repop stuff is not of interest. For me, I started out wanting to build the GT I rode back in the day and ride it again. However, being completely impatient and seeing how much an exact replica would cost, I've decided I'm happy with an 'approximation'. Somethings are the same (7X rims, A'me grips etc), somethings are bits that I would have liked to have had on it but couldn't afford at the time(flight cranks) and somethings are completely wrong (Primo pedals). In fact it's the wrong frame (1992 Interceptor), but until I track down an 82-83 Pro for less than silly money it's the closest looking one I know of.
Now, to a collector, that's probably an abomination :) but to me, it's great - I get the same buzz from riding it and I don't have to stress about damaging rare parts if I crash.
The only thing I would like to see with repro parts is that they should be distinguishable from the originals either by a serial number or one of those 'molding date stamp' things, so that collectors don't get ripped off.

I want the new ones to put on my race bike so that I don't bugger up a £75 seat.
I think the repro Team Pro had a small detrimental effect on the originals though as the price dipped after the new ones were released.
