It's all part and parcel of the game.  Slamming and recovering from slamming is what seperates us from the 'normal people'........  ;D

Plus, the more you slam, the easier it gets in my opinion.  If you're only having one every few months or this is your first hard hit then it does ring the old alarm bells a bit.   You'll feel differently about it in a few days   ;)

i put my back out 4 or 5 years ago coming up short on the first jump of our set of downhill trails ( a gap of not much more than a bike length  :-[ ) basicaly hung the rear wheel up at the top of the landing and somehow the bike fell infront of me , i landed in a sitting down position on the downslope

lying in a heap at the bottom unable to breath wasnt fun , nor was the week i couldnt sit down ( i think i mightave broken my coxix too )

i tentativly kept at it about a year after but the fun had gone so i sold the blackbike and gave away stuff i look back on and wish i still had

if im stood too long it aches , if im sat too long it aches . when i sleep i have to tuck my knees up otherwise the next day is painfull , its a feeling that never goes away  :(, its hard to remember before the constant ache

sure the odd massage eases it in the short term and yoga helps a bit too but itl be there for life now

2 years ago i got another bike and it was fun again , im still weary of doing more damage but i doubt i could give up completely on something that has given such joy , soo many good times with friends are due to that little bike

im only nearly 24 and its hard coming to terms with an injury that will be with me for life but you just have to think of mat hoffman

i wouldnt change it for the world  :daumenhoch:
