Minoura True Pro Wheel Truing Kit @ 16.99
moley:
My Old School Racer, a Haro Group One RS 1 got delivered on Friday from MotomagII.
Excellent stuff apart from the Seat Clamp (Haro one) doesn't seem like a good fit. It looks like its just barely holding it.
The only other thing is the front and back wheel are wonky. The front more so, but with no brake it isn't too much of a problem.
MotomagII told me about this so I was expecting it, so I'm not knocking him. I'm happy with my purchase. Although I will trim the Rear Brake Cable, its long enough for a tandem.
Anyway, I'll get to the point.
The only bike shop near me is Evans Cycles in Kendal and they charge £15 to true a wheel and £1 for every spoke replaced. There are probably a few Smaller Bikes shops around but I haven't looked for them.
I thought it would be good if I could true a wheel myself, plus I love gadgets and tools, so I thought I'd see what you can buy.
I found the Minoura True Pro Wheel Truing Kit for £71.99 at a lot of places and also £69.99
Now what I think Swim Bike Run did was mix the numbers £71.99 to £17.99 and then reduced the £17.99 to £16.99 when all the other shops reduced thiers to £69.99
Anyway I have just bought the Minoura True Pro Wheel Truing Kit @ 16.99. Reduced from £17.99 from Swim Bike Run sports.
I checked the minoura website and they don't do any other wheel trimming kit. So I hope it is the £70 one.
Hopefully they don't suss out the mistake!!!!
Its a BARGAIN.
I hope it comes with instructions!!!!!
