Shill bidding is where you use a different user id to up the auction amount.

Quick update for you all.

I had an email from Ebay this morning telling me that they suspect illegal account activity on the highest bidders account (no sh*t  ;D ).  Ebay have now removed the listing and are refunding me all of the fees that I incurred.
