SuperbikeDan's (SBD) Amazing powder coat/ Painting and Resto skills Gallery
McQUEEN:
SBD finished a powdercoat to this GT Mallet Stem and a set of very poor condition GT rear standers for me.
Picked them up this morning, like new. And SBD had the cheek to apologise for the time taken! SBD colour matched against a set of NOS GT Front standers - in case the pictures don't do them justice, the colour match is perfect!!

Did you just have the rear triangle chromed first or the whole frame? Looking forward to seeing this built up. :smitten:

Pictures don't do either the colour and finish of the powder coat or the depth of the chrome. Awesome finish, stoked. Best part of it was meeting Dan. Great man and an artist. And cares 100% about what he's working on, full of good advice. Dan even taped up the inside of the bottom bracket where the unpolished chrome was, made it look brand new - it would have been the same out of the Redline factory door in 1985. I'm going to be doing a resto thread on this build soon.

McQUEEN:
I had the complete frame rechromed but just the rear triangle up to the seat post polished. The frame was in a right state when I bought it. It had been power coated over a chrome that had rusted away and left marks / ripples under the powder coat. It had part of a seat post stuck in rattling around in the mast so under SBD's advice I had it stripped back all the way and started it all again.
