PK Ripper Looptail serial numbers and colours

I just acquired (finally) a Loopy Ripper. Serial number 70219. Does that make it July 1980?

Also what colours did they originally come in?

I don't think you can date a Ripper from the serial number  :-\.

as for colours, anything you can imagine mate! ball burninshed, white, black, gold, red, lot's of blues, yellow etc etc....

Shame really ... I've got two loopy Rippers here with no confirmation of exact age  :(
