darren:
i wish to fit new school brakes onto an oldschool frame was wondering if there is an off the shelf adaptor or am i going to have to make one ?

gossa:
if you're talking v brakes onto a non v brake frame then you'll have to get a frame builder to weld on some mounts.  Be aware that if your frame was not designed for the extra forces of frame mounted brakes then you might get some flex or failure in the frame.  What os frame is it?

SaMAlex:
And what do you mean "new school" brake?

You can bung on a 990 (U brake) plate, easy enough.

MartyC:
And you used to be able to buy bolt on canti/v-brake mounts, can't remember where though but you definitely could get them  :daumenhoch:
