Mongoose wire wheel i think mate defo Goose forks

two coats of plastikote white primer then a full tin of plastikote Fluorescent yellow

Hmmm..... Gusset looks similar but i've never seen dropouts like that on a goose there's a whole page on goose droput ID here : http://www.vintagemongoose.com/frame/dropouts.php also behind the bottom bracket is usually box section rather than tube as is usually behind the seat post for a model with that gusset and then there's the rear brake bridge usually flat not tubed .....hmmmm.... I'm startin to wonder what ya got there - any one else that can shed any light i'm stumped

I've looked for some detailed pictures of the mongoose wirewheel and they are a bit thin on the ground - didn't the mongoose wire wheel appear in the ammaco catalogues back in the day rather than the mongoose catalogues ? Had a look through all my mongoose catalogue scans and can't find it hmmmm..... maybe it was a UK only release manufactured outside the US ?? I'm sure there is a mongoose specialist on here that can spill all the beans..............

I'm dyin to find out now ! What does the serial number look like ?

Right then - a bit more searchin and research and i think you might be right with the wire wheel ID which is technically an ammaco as it's a european manufactured frame that only appeared in UK ammaco brochures (hence why the drop outs don't appear on the vintagemongoose website) fook me they didn't half copy it with that niikata though ! Wonder if they ever got sued back in the day ? Still be interesting to see what the serial number looks like

Here's my latest bike I've done, I think it's my best so far.A final Polishing with wax really does bring out the shine, I just use one from tescos, and an old t shirt or rag, paint was halfords car spray.

Hey everyone , Dave here , i`m a newbie too ,got a tatty old haro zippo frameset to tart up as i`ve seen some lovley ones done as master reps on bmx museum . Never done any rattlecan work at all and was bricking it , but as i`m on a realyy tight budget and powder / chroming was too expensive , i thought i`d give it a go ,as it wasn`t as if i`d spent hundreds on an old sport or master frameset . Got the idea to use old guitar stands to hold the frame forks and bars whilst painting , used all my old curtains to mask up my little utility room at the back of my house, and it`s turned out good so far , 2 coats of grey primer bought form the local car psares shop , once its painted and stickered i`ll post the results . Thanks all for the top tips i`ve got on here ,couldn`t have done it without all of you guys !!

masking tape m8 ,,,started with a base coloure of white ,then masked off the area that was the next ,and a lot of newspaper to protect the already spayed
areas ,,,and then where the coloures change get some pinstripe(or go faster stripes) from halfords to hide the mask lines

p.s i then finished with clear laquer ,,when cured flattend off with some fine wet and dry and then polished it up
