To be honest, I would have probably stripped it and powdered it white, but I do see the attraction in keeping it a survivor. Every mark tells a story of some kid coming off it while trying to jump bricks BITD.

If you look at one of the fork leg decals its really worn this is probs from old school wheel balance type tricks.
It is a fairly early one as it doesn't have the dp cut out but its not one of the very early one's as these had the gold/black firebird flame decals like the ones they used on the single top tube frames. Its certainly looks in good nick!

The rear chainstays, coaster bracket and rear dropouts are also different on early and late models.
Early below (more curved lower chainstays in profile and note position of coaster bracket - very early models did not have a serial number stamped on them)
Later model below (straighter chainstays, coaster bracket moved up and slightly different dropouts - same as GL though you could also get this frame without the DP cutout above the rear brake bridge and internal cable guides (non-GL) )
