Removing brake block marks from Tuffs

Swivel:
Nearly finished my Ammaco resto and about to fit on my green tuffs but after a closer inspection (they have been in storage for months), they have quite a few brake block marks on them, some quite dark. Is there any easy way of removing these? Thanks in advance,

scrape the rims with a nice sharp stanley blade....scrape...not cut tho

I'd suggest a bit of really fine sandpaper and then buff up afterwards.

what about wiping them with thinners, would it attack the plastic?

mount the wheel, (fnar) spin it, use a stanley blade as a lathe tool.
