A little insight to how I found Rad.
Was speaking to a young guy who worked for me 4 years ago about BMXs. He was a midschool rider and was telling me about his Mongoose. So explained to him about the good old days and all the old bikes. This got me thinking about PK Rippers so started searching Ebay for Rippers. A few about but nothing special. So took to google searching rippers for sale in the uk. This brought up a black and gold NOS frame and forks and a pair of NOS Gen 1 Campy hubbed Skyway Graphites. Needless to say i fell in love there and then. Contacted the guy and he came back with a price for both of £800. In retrospect I should have bought them but having no idea about prices for OS bmx told him in no uncertain terms to fook off.
Anyways, carried on searching for rippers for sale and found good old RADBMX.
Back to today, i finally got myself a ripper and good old SBD worked his wonders on it. It was the bike i was originally gonna build on my journey back into BMX. So this bike is kinda dedicated to Rad as it is what i was searching for when i found this great site.
Here is the bike as i won it off Ebay:
Here it is after Dan worked his magic.
The frameset could pass as nos i will post up some more pix when the build is finished, but i am sooooooo excited and happy with it.
It will be entered into April Bike of The Month. Once the postman delivers the gold DC1020s and the Kool Kaps for the new school Graphites.
