southern andy:
Anyone got any instructions ??????

I've just built them up on the floor to see how they go, i'm left with a ton of washers and a few big screws left over. I also have a problem when trying to fit the power disc to the drive arm. The thread in the arm that the power disc attaches to doesn't seem to be tapped properly. The screw just will not go up tight to the disc. I have this little spacer thing that is the right size and when i fit this the screw then does up nice. Is it correct to use this ???????

They didn't come with instructions when i bought them, they are brand new twin pinches in a US bottom bracket.

I'm confused. :-[ :-[  Anybody got any decent photos so i can see what i'm doing wrong.

thecrooch:
YEP SOUNDS ABOUT RIGHT

YOU ALWAYS HAVE EXTRA WASHERS - NOT EVERY FITTING IS THE SAME SO THEY ALWAYS GIVE YOU A FEW EXTRA

AND YEAH THE MINI WASHER FOR THE DISC SOUNDS FINE - BETTER WITH A WASHER THAN WITHOUT AND AS LONG AS IT TIGHTENS UP WITH THAT ON THEN ITS FINE...

IT ALWAYS ANNOYED ME THEY DONT COME WITH INSTRUCTIONS... PROFILES DO!

southern andy:
Ok still confused,

Built up again on the floor, the spacer supplied seems about 3mm too long, do i need the blue spacer or does this have to be cut. Another problem i can see is the arms don't fit all the way over the spline on the spindle.
Do i need washers on the inside of the bearings ????????

you can clearly see here that the cranks overlap the bottom bracket by about 3mm

and these are my bits and pieces that are left over ??????????

Help please, cheers crooch and mattdub for the instructions.

dwain dibbly:
just cut the spacer down :daumenhoch:
the screws you have left are the axle bolts
that hold the arms to the axles.
and the washers are spacers to line up the chainwheel
with the rear sprocket. you will also need to fit a tophat
washer if you are using a power disc

southern andy:
I have some nice shiny screws that i never photographed to hold the cranks to the spindle.

The photo of the spare bits is what is left over after everything has been fitted including the axle bolts.

Where will the top hat washer go, i think i have two of those and i have used one already in the fourth photo. It has been fitted to the front of the power disc and is acting as a spacer which is fixing the disc to the arm. When i had the spacer on the back it was touching the sealed bearing.
