Removing Vinyl pad print

Has anyone any advice on removing the print off vinyl pads before I go and try something? Any help would be great thanks!  :santa_afro:

I used soft steelwool with soap (actualy the soap is already in the steelwool!)
Mine was a yellow pad and where the print was, the vinyl didn't shine anymore.
Then sprayed WD40 on it and became much better........
Don't know if this will work for other colors.
