chrome plating

(1/1)

bluedog:
does anyone have any recommendations re. platers and or any idea on what constitutes a good price. i have a very straight supergoose frame with rotten chrome on it, way too bad for pollishing especiallly inside the gusset (as always).

stidds:
I (and a few others on here) use Doug Taylor's in Weston-Super-Mare (near Bristol).  Doug chromed my new school retro SE Quadangle frame and forks and charged me £160.  He did all of the preparation work so all I had to do was drop the frame and forks off and collect it.

Turn around time is 4 weeks (which is pretty quick).

You can go to his website by clicking the www (globe) icon underneath my Arsenal avatar.

Here is a picture of his work.  You can also see another picture of my bike in the Photo Display section of Doug's website.

pickle:
will concur his work is top notch!  you will be able to get it done cheaper elsewhere....but it won't be anywhere near as good!

GASHEAD has had a fair few frames done by him as well  :daumenhoch:
