Advice needed... build costs?

Apologies if this on the wrong forum, but I thought it was probably "general chat".

I realise the answer to this question is probably "how much do you want to spend" but...

I've seen an old school cruiser frame and forks, that comes with head set and bars, that I'm thinking of buying.  However, I do not have any idea the additional cost in turning this purchase into a rideable/raceable bike.  Can some of the experts here give me a rough estimate of cost?

I don't want to create a "show" bike, but then again would want to "do it justice". It is described as "in excellent condition... no dings, dents, cracks or rewelds" so it shouldn't need re-chroming or spraying.

Any advice gratefully received.

there is a dude on here, bigplinky, he was selling an amasin supercross cruiser, o/s legal, full bike, very nice, might be worth havin a gander at that, same era as the cyclecraft
