Haro f+f unknown......*NEW PICS-ALL COMPLETE!*

<< < (10/10)

generallee:
Well done - another bike brought back to life!
One thing I dont understand though...
Mirra frames were all 1.1/8" for aheadsets and threadless forks... with a clamp on stem
How come there is a shafted quill stem in there? Is it a 1" frame? or a 1.1/8" quill stem? Or 1" forks in a 1.1/8" frame?????

macky:

Ohh yeahhh!!!

The actually are 1. 1/8 aheadsets....

are they threaded forks you've put on it??

shorty50y:
Yeah,I think the forks are bent slightly-but this is how i picked it up!
The forks are indeed threaded, with a quill, but again, its how it came to me!(bearing in mind,it spent some of its time in a river.....!)
I havent any other forks to put on-I thought it may have been changed at one point, cos there is no way of mounting a front brake other than a caliper type!
TBH,its not that important-its more of a learning curve-I hadnt sprayed stuff before this bike!(Argos cycles in Bristol did my last resto paint job!)
So,I'll ride it slow(age...........its a curse!)And all seems well-no wobbles or niggles with it?Frame is 1.1/8th,hollow stem, but stem doesnt fit my burner-which is 1 ".....go figure!
Just glad the colour came out right!
Cheers for the comments guys!appreciated!
