LANDAR GRIPS - ANYONE HEARD OF THESE?
holwuff:
I have a pair of these wacky grips, does anyone know where these were from? i wonder if they were standard on a cheapy bike like a falcon or just a something you could get in your local bike shop!
So has anyone seen these before?
they are surprisingly comfy cos it feels your hands are gripped in by the curled up outer edge bit and feel good on a pair of cw style bars!
macky:
Yeah i've heard of these... im sure i had them on a Tange bike i had in 86/87.... ??
Had them on me CW's!! I think Lander made other bits too.... maybe tyre & bars... im not sure??
Some one on here will deffo know more about it!!
( something is telling me PUCH ??)
holwuff:
YEAH THEY ARE DEFINATELY SUITED TO THE WIDE STYLE BARS! I KINDA LIKE THEM BUT NOT SURE IF I SHOULD USE THEM ON 1 OF MY BUILDS!
2020mad:
Copied a lot of popular parts back in the day, me and me mates had loads of landar bits and pieces on our bikes. cheap and cheerful, i'm pretty sure they were based in the midlands, hence our local bike shops being loaded with there full range of plastic chain covers, bottom bracket boots, lever covers, chains, brake blocks, chainwheels, headsets and grips.
Bob_Acid:
We had them down sowff too. Anybody have that picture of all the landar stuff?
