Threaded bar from any engineers supplies shop.  Another alternative is a 6" bench vice which you can use as a press. Just make sure jaw faces are fitted with some protection so as not to damage yer cups....

Personally,  I use a hydraulic press. Job's a good 'un  :daumenhoch:

Padding is another of my hot tips for maximum protection.
