Painting a stem...
GREMLIN:
Hey lads. :) I had a Suntour stem through the post this morning from OrgasmDonor (thanx Daz m8).
I've picked it up to re-furb then put onto my Kuwi'.
Just after it arrived...
After a quick session with Nitromors...
Right, anyhow I'm going to be coating it in black.
So should i bother attacking it with Oven pride to strip the anno off or should i use the anno as a base to coat over?
Rattle can should cover the anno (after a keying in) shouldn't it?
Or would it still need some primer?
Or just strip totally then , primer, top coat?
Any thoughts? Grem'. :daumenhoch:
PHIPPSIO:
Yeah you will need to remove the anno first. Last one i did i just dusted it with a light primer and then straight into paint. I tried painting a red anno shainring last year and it just doesnt take
:daumenhoch:
GREMLIN:
Oven pride it is then. Thanx m8 :daumenhoch: G. :)
GREMLIN:
After a couple of minutes in Oven pride and a quick scrub... G. :)

gav you will need to use an etch primer on it before you prime and paint ;)
