pedal stuck in crank

will cutting through the thread with a hacksaw work or will it f up the pedal, if so is there any other way,

me i would weld the rest of the arm back on for leverage and the heat from the welder should expand the arm and help the pedal to release
needs lots of wd40 before to get the rust moving.

probably a silly question but have you stuck whats left of the crank in a vice & tried to undo it that way?

I think I need to buy a vice. I was gonna clamp it in some mole grips and attack it with a hacksaw, but it is really stuck
