Are shimano dx levers shite

Believe it or not, shimano stuff is date stamped.
They used a two letter code.
i.e.  FA
First letter is year, second is month.
They started the year on A in 1977.
So, FA would be 1982 january.

I know, this is a bit anal  :-\

i posted the shimano dating thing a long time ago. rick(riley1) has the shimano info. dx's are very nice. better than tech 2's3's4's etc.
