get them painted nicely and then use them on a rider not a show bike, thats what i'd do :daumenhoch:

It certainly works, its not a speedy process, but neither is chrome plating.
I've had to do this on aircraft parts, which are a wee bit pricey :shocked:
Give it a go and post your results.
