Shipping tyres to the USA

(1/2) > >>

se-bmxer:
Just had 3 quotes to ship 2 pairs of tyres to the USA and they are all around £50 to ship
i can't believe this is right, quotes came from DHL, parcelforce and interparcel

Parcelforce told my its because of the new size restrictions just brought in  ???

Do anyone know of any cheaper carriers that they have used ?

Jai, we talking bmx tyres?

pack em up one pair at a time and send small packet air mail. I've done it no probs.

i just put them in a bin bag and tape all around it,

unless they are mega valuable, then they might not be covered enough if they go missing.

cost about £10 a pair i reckon.

tried that and this is the problem

You can use Airsure® to send items up to 2kg but no single side must be longer than 60cm, whilst the length plus depth plus width must not exceed 90cm.

even if i send 1 pair it exceeds 90cm and i can't fold them

Joe there bmx tyres

Jai

if they were paid for by paypal print off the postage labels from paypal, you need two lables in your printer then a plain piece of paper.
address and payment will print first, then customs declaration, then proff of posting cert.

send it small packet air mail, not air sure, it doesn't ask for dimensions then drop it off at the sorting office, not a counter, and because it's pre-paid they don't hassle you for size, they just stamp your proof of postage and job done.
