Removing powdercoat?

(1/1)

HEYWOOD BMX:
:) Will caustic soda remove it,or do I need gasket remover?

If the caustic treatment doesn`t do it,then it`s bug genocide in the garden tomorrow...

stidds:
Caustic will not remove powdercoat, you will either have to go with Permatex Gasket remover (if you can find some) or follow SuperBikeDan's advice and go to a local car paint supplies store and get some Gel Paint Remover.  I did this last weekend and it certainly works, a 5 litre bottle cost £25.

HEYWOOD BMX:
;) Cheers.Couldn`t recall the Permatex name, tried some cheap stuff and it didn`t work!

Bugs are gonna die tomorrow!

spesh:
