Posting frame and forks advice??

(1/2) > >>

Hi,

I have just sold my frame and forks and so need to post them out. Whats the best way to do this? I have a Kuwahara bike box I could use to post it in. Also I will wrap it up in bubble wrap with lots of padding. Anything else I should do to make sure it gets there safe and sound.

Also, whats the best method of posting? Parcel Force with insurance etc??

Any advice really appreciated.

I just use a free bike box from Halfords. Usually try to cover the frame with foam pipe lagging for protection and then wrap in lots of bubblewrap  :daumenhoch:

Usually use Parcelforce with extra insurance depending on the value of the bike.

another tip is to stick something between the dropouts to stop them getting bent inwards, a piece of wood or strong tubing..i've received a few frames that have had the dropouts bent because they weren't protected properly  :daumenhoch:
