Looking to get an old gooseneck for my Mongoose project  - will this 1975 Schwinn goosneck fit into an old '80 Mongoose?

Should be fine , just make sure your bars have the raised section where the stem clamps them  ;) .

As above check you've got the right bars though  ???

looks like my stem and my wald bars have 3 raised bits middle is bigger tho
