Billy Stupple finally got his deserved sponsorship from Skyway in 1984. For ages he had been blowing us away with his stylish jumping technique and wicked carved aerials. He was also pretty handy on the flat and had his trick ramp stuff wired. At one time Billy was one of those riders that seemed to be able to aerial much higher out of an under vert bowl or ramp than a full on vert one, but when he started getting his technique together he
could get massive air out of anything.

I'd say that was Pikey Paul Davis on the far left of that shot, sat down with the mop of black hair.

I remember Billy riding the moguls that high on a regular basis. In fact, I'm struggling to think of anyone who went higher as it happens...

Cool! Tell you what, the Old Fools trip we did on may have last year to Rom was one of the best days riding Id ever witnessed - and Bill was one of the reasons for that. In fact, I think Bill and Super Bike Dan said it was the best day of riding at Rom since 1985!
