the letter after could be the month, then the other digits are the batch number (frame number in batch?)

the first letter i think will say either which style of frame / or the plant where it's made

also the serial should be stamped onto bot brkt shell
or poss on the "C" shaped section just behind,
though its mainly pro class that have it there, my cali is stamped there .... typical mongoose  ::)

the 2nd letter is assumed to be the month of produciton but it aint confirmed info
some one should have thought to ask skip hess in the recent interview on VBMX

A - Jan
B - Feb etc ....

no the letter is not the month with mongoose. some say manufactured others say mongoose. this stems from a team bike having a T instead of a M.  The L should be the month but I saw one once with a m after the number and i don't know the name of the 13th month. but 83 is deffo the year.
