what fork?

(1/2) > >>

gossa:
Just got shipped what was supposed to be a Revcore frame and fork, i'd say this fork is an early ('88?) Revcore made S&M and not the correct fork for the frame.

Anyone varify?Anyone got a CW of Revcore fork they wanna swap?

fouronethreeoh!:
The shape of the dropouts look revcore to me, just the bend of the legs near the fork crown look different.
Also double thick dropouts, suggests maybe slightly later than 88.
There does seem to be plenty of differences in revcore components through the years.
I was looking through the thread about the frame you just bought and it has the machined bottom bracket and a flat brake bridge, as far as i can tell. My pro frame has tubular brake bridge and a plain (non-waisted) bottom bracket. There are also subtle differences in frame dropouts, some look very CW in style, whereas others are more of a Free Agent shape.

gossa:
Cheers for that but I don't think Revcore ever did double dropouts on race frames? Remember during this time they were also making some dirt bikes for S&M so just used the Revcore dropouts but doubled them up, that's what makes me think the forks are S&M's.

The only Revcore I know of in existance with double dropouts was one that I specially ordered when I rode for them in '89 and that was when I lived in Texas. God knows where that ended up!

SaMAlex:
Clive, they look like the forks you had on your mad dog in that photo of you doing the blunt on the car. Ive not seen S&M drop outs like that apart from in that photo of you.

gossa:
That's exacyly my thinking Alex.

But they aint Revcore and that's what I need so if anyone has any and wants to trade let me know, otherwise I might just use em, fook it!!.........
