right then striped down the old super and greased and polished her up
took the cranks arms off cleaned them and refitted them but now they are stiff to turn  :D
didnt touch the sealed bb just cleaned up what is showing

any one know why this would happen

dikk1970:
you could have tightened the bolts either end of the spindle to tight, had similar problem
backed them up 1/4 turn then they were fine

cheers  mate :daumenhoch:

loosened the nuts off a tad and i can now spin it one whole turn still seems too stiff to me still though
should it be able to spin round more than one turn  :D

moley:
Loosen the twin pinch bolts and tighten the end bolt.

Check it spins good!!

Then tighten the twin pinch bolts.

Then check the spin!!

Then tighten the end bolt.  It should tighten up against the force of the twin pinch bolts so it shouldn't affect the spin.  It just tightens the end bolt to stop it from coming loose.

Once done, recheck the spin!!

Check the lateral play in the cranks.  If they move then its too loose and you haven't tightened them up enough!!

moley your a star  :4_17_5:

i loosend the twin pinch bolts a tad and tightened the end bolts and hey presto spins freely

cheers m8  :daumenhoch:
