oven pride overnight - now what?
20to26:
:LolLolLolLol: yeah that'd be funny.
I got Nitromors from my village hardware before they shut - 500ml for £5.49 - saved me a trip to B&Q
The paint is off already... cracking stuff. There are some stains in the steel that the Nitromors doesn't seem to want to remove, even after a few applications.
I think I may need to sand it now.
Cheers all
harris:
glad it never worked tbh all that would have been left is a mushy substance after a night on alloy.

thanks!
Should I soak the chainring overnight to remove the paint?

no nitromors will strip the paint in less than a minute, you may need to repeat a couple of times to get it all off
id hate to think what would happen if youd left a caliper in oven pride over night as that removes anodising in a few minutes too
youd proberbly end up with a moltten lump of alloy :LolLolLolLol:

i did leave a pair of almost mint Dia-compe Mx 1000s in over-night as i forgot about them :'(
and yes a pile of MUSH the next day
Lesson learned :uglystupid2:
I wish i had thought to take a pic of them :LolLolLolLol:
