Hmmmm. Conundrum.
 The ear end of the toptube looks stamped so that would make it 1985+ If its stamped with new shaped GT logo then its later than that.  The shape of the fork dropouts suggest early 90s. I am guessing 1990-1992. I hope this narrows the search down a bit

Sorry should have said , ignore the forks as they are Redline.

Hope it is and 85 but I think it's later to be honest.
