Huge Dilema!!!! Restore or Sell????????

(1/2) > >>

Gary M:
Being new to all this I'd like to send thanks for all those who responded to my first shout!!!

My Dilema is this. I have a 5 year old who is mad crazy about BMX racing and I initially got into this resto business in order to raise funds to get him into the sport I loved as a kid!!

Nothing has changed over 20 plus years, still a great sport and still expensive!!!

I have a Raleigh Aero pro burner that I had as a kid and raced all over the country.

Will I raise good money by selling the bike restored or as is now?

Having started this I realise that its not just about the money its about the end result. A beautiful restored work of art.

The Aero is in good condition for its years with only minor chrome problems around the bottom brackets.

The other bits on it are as follows

GT pro bar handlebars

Suntour beartrap pedals

MX1000 brakes

Kashimax saddle

sugini single cranks.

beartrap 2 headset.

Over to you all what do you think?

thanks Gary M

Youd probably get more splitting and selling now but if its your bike from Bitd DONT SELL it you will only regret it later on.

Gary M:
Thanks for that.

My heart says keep it, I loved that bike, BUT the 5 year old says SELL,SELL!!!!!!!!!! :LolLolLolLol:

poolysheriff:
Go with your heart or gut feeling  ;)

And keep it forever  :daumenhoch:

Ask anyone on here how much they would pay to buy back their first bmx or even one they owned bitd

Its what we all want  :LolLolLolLol:

tigerbrown:
Like Gaz says everyone strives to build what they had back in the day or wanted most!!

Don't sell unless youre 100%

Restore it matey.. Bit of elbow grease and tips on here and it won't cost too much
