Redline MX 2 *pics*
theRuler:
got this old redline last summer
it was pretty scathed
after some stripping, respraying, cleaning and scrubbing (and a few new parts) I have this
this is one seriously lightweight bike. its all done up, greased and ready to ride!
i reused the original stem, crank and chainring. got new wheels, chain, brake, bars, grips, pedals. (and a seat/post combo from orb)
i still have the old bars (they need rechroming) and the blue shimano SX pedals (they need stripping)
after buying this bike (within a batch of bikes) i started posting on vintagebmx. then got a pm from bobacid about this place.
i will bring this bike to epic
retrogeezer:
looks great - very nice bikes. Are they the MX111 decals with a digit cut off?
theRuler:
mxIII was a typo at the factory where they were assembled.
they were mxII's underneath
hence why there are no mxIII decals available
retrogeezer:
oh yeh..my bad! I bought 2 sets of the MX11 ones and was thing of cutting off a 1 to make a MX111. Don't think I'll bother tho!
Heres mine....it's a nice survivor and the frame decals are o.k so probably keep it as it is.
Bren Gunn:
Lovely build, very oldschool!!
