Frame without serial number
(1/1)
GavinKent:
I bid and won a Californian frame and forks. It's coming from a reputible seller, but it has had its serial number removed some time back in its life. I assume the only reason the number was removed is that it was stolen some time back in its life - can't think of any other logical reason why someone would remove it. I don't think I'd bother ever trying to sell it on, and if I hadn't been told, I'd have never known - but I wonder how other people would feel with a kind of damaged frame - it just won't feel complete in my books, rightly or wrongly or stupidly, even though it's still a Californian?

Depends how much you paid for it and if it's gonna be a showy or a rider..........
....wrong of the seller if he didn't mention it in his listing though :knuppel2:
If you want help on the date of the frame without having the serial number put some pics up :daumenhoch:
