I'm having an issue dying some mags black. They're half way there... but not quite.
Would you recommend this method of many light coats all over ? or only as a final finish to them ?

you dont wanna use paint as a colouring methed but i highly recommend the light dusting as a finishing touch, it just kinda brings it all together and makes it look proper fresh. :daumenhoch:

They do look awesome btw !!!!
Did you do that all over or just to certain areas ? Do you have an in between pic ?
Did you just get rid of the excess paint from the brush so it's almost dry, and then brush or dab ?
thanks

you gotta spray em not brush em, sorry i didn't explain properly..
i've got a spray booth and spray guns at my work but you could try it with a can, you'd just have to make sure that you had the can about 3 feet away from the wheel.. and you gotta do the whole thing not certain areas.
first mask your alloy hubs and axles...
next, if your using a can get it hot (matt black)
hold the can about 2 to 3 feet away from the wheel
spray at about half pressure, moving the can from side to side so you cover the whole wheel for 5 seconds
turn it over and do the other side..
this will probably give the same sort of look to mine but i did mine with a gun that has a dial for pressure and a dial for how much paint comes out, i cant be sure what a can will do but have a little practice on the wifes silverware and remember DONT PUT TOO MUCH PAINT ON , less is better
good luck, joe :daumenhoch:
