1979 minigoose FINISHED..................
bobafett:
Right then another month another mongoose :LolLolLolLol:
I built this up for MK but it's had a few tweaks in the last couple of weeks - the main one being the tyres - a pair of 2.125 knobblies on a mini just looked huge so i've gone for some 1.75 agressors ;)
Bought the frame n forks from Steve P a while back (last year i think :-\ ) and then set about sourcing the bits i wanted. Gave the nickel frame a good dose of autosol and elbow grease and Kept the original survivor decals on even though I had the proper NOS replacements - I just like keeping original decals whenever I can
So here is the parts run-down :
1979 mongoose minigoose frame in nickel - CG9 187404
mint ashtabula forks
mongoose bars with ashtabula stem
steel hubbed coaster tuff II's (real nice survivor condition 8) )
NOS 1.75 carlisle aggressor MX200 pair (with a nice blend of release powder and bikeshop dust :D )
NOS ashtabula short crank (fresh out the packet ;) )
Takagi 3 arrows stamped chainwheel
NOS union rat traps
NOS oury grips
nice survivor mongoose messinger seat
chrome mini post
mongoose stamped headset
mongoose stamped seat clamp
mongoose stamped reflector :coolsmiley:
NOS genuine mongoose 1979 "TM" vinyl padset (with the correct "short" frame pad - rare as fook ;) )
And here she is - hope you likey.........................
