suntour xc's with or without brace.

Looks like Suntour didn't stick to the ones without the brace for very long, XCI's look to be the shark teeth ones, followed by early XCII's without the brace. At somepoint Suntour went back to model with the brace for the XCII's and stuck with them...

The ads show the body having a brace which leads me to think the ones without brace were quickly discontinued. I do remember reading a review of the XCII which said why Suntour had made some changes to the teetch shape and the bodies but I can't find it at the moment :-\. when did they stop putting '3 and 1' teeth on the platform (alloy body) and go for 2 and 2... ???

What is often the case is that there are no definitive dates/times/places with this old stuff .
The ads MartyC posted are very useful as are the pedal pics , loosely the two products were 82 & 83 . The later ( less sharp teeth ) cages are very popular and the sharp ones are rare .

With 2 teeth on body,u dont need a left/right body......
